We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our growing food production company. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, ensuring that our organization attracts, develops, and retains a highly skilled and motivated workforce. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives. You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and benefits administration. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, where employees feel valued and engaged.
This is position will oversee a multi-sites food manufacturing environment. While based out of our Bethlehem, PA location this role would need to be able to travel to our Brooklyn, NY facility as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the company's mission and strategic objectives
- Engage with business leaders and hiring managers to drive staffing plans.
- Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, candidate screening, and interviews
- Manage employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring that new hires have a seamless transition into the organization
- Oversee performance management activities, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and coaching
- Work with leaders and employees to actively handle and resolve performance issues proactively, minimizing any risk.
- Handle employee relations matters, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Oversee the payroll process and employee records management
- Stay up-to-date on HR related laws and regulations to ensure company compliance
Requirements
- Plant HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Core knowledge of HR fundamentals and ability to collaborate with all areas within HR such as talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, benefits, L&D, DEI&B etc.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office applications
