This is a Full-Time position, 37.5 hours/week.
Program Description:
Renton Permanent Supportive Housing serves 107 single adult men and women moving out of chronic homelessness. This extended stay hotel turned housing program offers fully furnished units, a variety of community spaces, and resident engagement activities. This program will serve homeless community members in South King County.
Position Scope:
Resident Services Staff (RSS) provide excellent customer service and maintain the safety and security of the building. RSS offer outreach and community resources to residents; they also enforce program rules outlined in the resident lease. This position performs service-delivery based on the values inherent in Catholic Community Services’ mission, the principles of harm reduction, and the philosophy of ‘housing first’, honoring and respecting the dignity of each resident.
Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resident Engagement
- Create a welcoming environment for Renton PSH residents
- Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to men/women in a harm reduction program
- Explain and enforce building and program rules
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Execute safety protocols, i.e. walking resident floors and monitoring security cameras
Administrative Responsibilities
- Review and document interactions in electronic log
- Complete Incident Reports
- Complete and submit work orders to property management for residents
- Greet tenants and visitors, assuring they sign in properly and maintain the safety of the building
General Responsibilities
- Participate in staff meetings
- Contribute to and support a positive, team-oriented work environment; participate with other staff members in decision-making processes
- Maintain cleanliness and order at staff area/front desk
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
