What You’ll Do

As the Financial Analyst you will create dynamic and highly detailed pricing models, budgets, and proformas from scratch utilizing the inputs from client service agreements and term sheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Create dynamic and highly detailed pricing models, budgets, and proformas from scratch utilizing inputs from operations teams and various legal documents.
  • Work with Contracts Manager, Operations, and Finance/Accounting to prepare/refine Term Sheets, Letters of Intent, and Contracts/Service Agreements.
  • Provide quantitative and analytical support to executive leadership team.
    • Work directly with VP of Finance and CEO to develop department and company budgets as well as financial forecasts.
    • Work with Department Heads to generate reports, run analyses, and complete special projects requiring high-level financial/accounting knowledge.
  • Conduct routine financial analyses to include budget planning, actual versus proforma reconciliations, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Gather and update supporting data for financial reporting and metrics (Use of database queries may eventually be required).
  • Build and exercise ongoing quality control over complex financial and predictive models as well as routine reports.
    • Summarize insights/conclusions and identify next steps for appropriate executives.
  • Maintain debt covenants for all credit facilities and regularly update rolling 12-month and 24-month financial forecasts.
  • Prepare and deliver insights and analytics in an executive-friendly format, such as PowerPoint slides.
    • Clearly present insights and recommendations to executives based on identified trends, patterns, and other pertinent data.
    • Collaborate with other teams to implement strategic operational initiatives in line with data driven analytics.
  • Work diligently to learn all aspects of the business to provide higher quality financials, more applicable metrics, and better insights.
  • Lead financial and accounting focused projects with support from colleagues and manager.
    • Pose the right questions and structure analytical frameworks to address those questions.
  • Must be willing to stretch “up” and “down” in responsibilities to support leadership team as needed.
    • Drive continuous improvement, simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions.

What is Required/Preferred?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (please include GPA on resume)

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated high level skills in Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Expert level skill with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
    • VBA and/or other programming skills desired; willingness to learn
  • Deal structuring with term sheet and contract review
  • At least 2 years of total work experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Working knowledge of NetSuite software
  • Prior experience at top-tier consulting firm, high finance, corporate finance or similar

  • Highly refined writing skills, oral communications skills, and presenting skills (to include pricing memos, contract drafting, presentation preparation/delivery)
