CDM Smith currently has a new opportunity for a Client Service Leader to lead and grow our transportation practice in northern CA, NV, and the pacific northwest regions. In this position, you will work with a dynamic team to continue building our transportation design, planning, transit, and environmental business. You will lead the development of a business strategy for the increase of sales with our existing clients and developing new clients across northern CA and NV. This will include all aspects of transportation consulting services. This position leads the business development activities, oversees overall client service, represent CDM Smith on transportation design, planning, transit, program management, construction and environmental related boards or organizations, and serve as a leader in your office and throughout the organization.
CDM Smith has been providing transportation services to our clients for over 30 years. Our transportation services have spanned the areas of transit, traffic engineering, planning, NEPA, and roadway/highway design projects.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
• Identifying and developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with key local/regional transportation clients and teaming partners in the northern CA and NV.
• Developing and managing client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, as well as junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other efforts of business development.
• Serving as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in northern CA, NV, and pacific northwest, as well as supporting other West US growth initiatives.
• Serving as a technical or project lead as needed or appropriate on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
• Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
• Being a strong leader internally and externally.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Previous experience in business development, assisting with the proposal process and presenting/meeting with local/regional transportation clients in the northern CA and NV., strongly preferred.
• Progressive transportation design, planning, transit, and/or environmental experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and successfully serve clients.
• Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
• Transportation experience at an engineering consulting firm in the west coast and/or pacific northwest markets.
