What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stacker position at CDS?
Customer Driven Staffing is a privately owned staffing firm based in Florida. We have many offices servicing Central and South Florida for over 10 years. We provide our clients with skilled trades workers for industrial, warehouse, and construction fields.
All employees must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and be authorized to work in the United States.
Position: Stacker
Location: Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33538
Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:00am – 4:00pm (Saturday when scheduled)
Pay Rate: $17.00/ hr
Description:
- Builds material needed off of list prepared by plant manager to be shipped and affixes labels to packs of lumber by performing the following duties.
- Observes all safety requirements including Personal Protective Equipment.
- Stacks ceramic roof tiles on pallets as they come off assembly line.
- Learns requirements for machine operation, including set-up, die change, color change, and other requirements associated with product change over.
- When required, loading machines with new tools, dies, raw materials, and other items needed to perform the job.
- Required to keep area clean at all times, including picking up trash, broken tiles, and other debris on the floor. This would also include using a broom to sweep and clean the floor.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform simple math calculations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Physical Demands: The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: This position is working indoors in a manufacturing plant that is NOT temperature controlled. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions when assisting with assignments in the yard. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work to meet 5am schedule requirements.
