What are the responsibilities and job description for the Config Center Coordinator position at CDW?
This role is responsible for the physical movement and coordination of all configuration orders into and out of the configuration center in line with department SLA's. The Configuration Coordinator is also responsible for preparing a high volume of printers and other configurations for shipment on a daily basis.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Utilize the Crown trucks to move and transfer product between the multiple areas of the configuration center and distribution center.
- Process all department restock on a daily basis following set guidelines
- Empty recycle bins throughout shift following ISO standards
- Maintain Universal Waste with proper signage
- Organize dock staging area (s) according to SLA's
- Assign all orders on the dock to proper staging locations
- Complete all configurations assigned with high quality standards
- Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the area Help Desk, Team Leader or Supervisor
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Keep the work area organized through daily cleaning and removal of garbage and pallet jacks, etc.
- Assist team with boxing and unboxing of products as needed
- Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service through exceptional quality standards and order responsiveness
Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- The general work hours will range 6:00 am to 11:00 pm based on location and shift
- It may be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift
- Overtime is to be expected and in some cases may be required
- Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force rarely (0-12%% of the workday). The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Demonstrate ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday), and 51-75 pounds rarely (0-12% of the workday).
- Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
- Fork lift certification.
Must be able to obtain RR, RC, and PE certification/License within the first 90 days of accepting the position. - Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
- Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry
- Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment and be mechanically inclined

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or certification on fork lifts
- Internal Only - Basic knowledge of CDW's internal systems
- Desire to pursue certifications and continually learn new technology
