Overview:
Cedar Fair is seeking a Database Administrator for our Corporate Charlotte office. The Database Administrator will monitor all aspects of Cedar Fair’s Database Server and data platforms. Responsibilities include data server maintenance, data security, database backups and data server monitoring. Provide support for the administration, backup, integrity, and security of the data environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage database performance and monitoring application. Oversees database development and modification efforts, ensures that database projects are completed on time and within estimated costs.
Provide support for the administration, backup, integrity, and security of the data environment. Identifies and resolves production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities.
Document all aspects of data server environment. Maintains current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management standards and best practices.
Assesses current and projected database performance and recommends changes and enhancements.
Drafts training documentation and guidelines for analysts and end users.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Database Maintenace and Design.
4-6 years' of work experience.
Travel: 5% of the time.
1-3 years' experinece in SQL database server maintenance. Knowledge in TSQL, data server monitoring, data server environment maintenance.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
