Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed, freestanding psychiatric hospital and outpatient center specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Cedar Hills Hospital provides a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Our hospital mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance abuse treatment to those in need.

Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a full time Clinical Manager who performs social service functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health through therapeutic treatment skills, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention treatment planning, and providing information and referrals as needed. Responsible for planning and coordinating staff activities related to training, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. Developing and implementing a plan of care designed to meet the patient’s post hospitalization needs, while warranting social services staff can meet those needs, ensuring good continuity of care for our patients.

Job responsibilities includes supervision of Social Services staff members including performance evaluations, overseeing clinical aspects of milieu management, assisting in coordinating training new clinical staff and student interns, assisting with establishing effective and timely treatment plans and group curriculums, coordinating with utilization review and discharge planning efforts to limit risk of insufficient discharge planning, department scheduling, implementation of department plans, and providing ongoing mentoring of Therapy Staff.

Qualifications

Education: Masters of Social Work or equivalent.

Licensure: LCSW, MSW, or CSWA.

Experience: Two (2) years of inpatient experience preferred.

Other Requirements: Solid Leader, shows initiative and creativity. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, detail-oriented. Demonstrates a high level of stress-management ability. Excellent clinical knowledge and skills. Patient and demonstrates a positive role model.
