Reports to: Director of Property Services

Location: La Grange, KY

What you’ll do:

To supervise and/or perform the maintenance and general upkeep needs of the facility. To assist the Assistant Director of Property Services in the planning and supervising of the work required and performed by others to maintain the facilities and all related equipment and areas.

  • Plan and supervise the day-to-day maintenance needs of facility, coordinate and ensure the Property Services staff responsibilities to meet the needs of the agency.
  • Plan, supervise and perform needed carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Complete special projects.
  • Responsible for and/or delegate all "on-call" responsibilities.
  • Maintain Sewage Treatment Plant, Fire Safety Equipment and Back-up Electrical Generator.
  • Coordinate and assist outside contractors.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Property Services in the areas of procurement, material estimation and ordering.
  • Maintain maintenance, material, equipment, and service records.
  • Establish and maintain performance and procedural systems to assure the mechanical integrity of the facility.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Property Services with the supervision of maintenance staff in the coordination and performance of their duties.
  • Provide Assistant Director of Property Services input in annual staff evaluations and performance incentives.
  • May include other duties as deemed necessary by the Assistant Director of Property Services.

What sets you apart:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Five years related experience required. Specialized skills mastered in one or more of the trades (or a combination) of carpentry, plumbing, electrical or heating/air conditioning required. Supervisory experience desirable.

What your typical schedule looks like:

  • Non-Exempt, Hourly. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexible scheduling - generally eight-hour shift between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. Work schedule includes accessibility by phone/pager all seven (7) days each week. Responsibilities may occasionally include extended hours and weekend work as needed.
