What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Cedar Ridge Hospital?
Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Maintenance Technician performs skilled work relating to the maintenance of all facility buildings, properties, systems, and plant equipment. Performs proactive maintenance, safety, and operational testing and documentation of all designated systems and equipment. Interacts with a wide variety of personnel in all departments of the company. Position assists with maintenance functions at the Bethany location as needed.
Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility): Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5-17. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients.
Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 116-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard and playground.

Qualifications
- One to three years of experience in the fundamentals of HVAC, air conditioning, automotive repair, maintenance, plumbing, heating, electrical, and construction.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree from a college or technical/trade school preferred.
