JOB DESCRIPTION
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Provides day-to-day nursing care to residents and supervise and assists LNA's in providing personal care; maintains and administers medications; prepares nursing records; schedules and accompanies residents to medical and rehab appointments; processes admissions and discharges. Serves as charge nurse or med nurse as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides direct nursing care to residents and day students.
2. Serves as liaison with physicians, pharmacies, audiologist, dentist, and other medical providers.
3. Oversees programming and care provided by nursing assistants.
4. Maintains ongoing communication with families.
5. Participates in meetings and performs administrative functions in support of nursing role.
This position entails interaction and communication with residents/students and their families as well as with other staff and community members.
Cedarcrest Center will undertake a criminal records background investigation and employment will be conditioned upon results of this being satisfactory to Cedarcrest Center. The offer of employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical examination (relating to the essential duties I would be required to perform) a pre-employment drug screening, TB test. Acceptance of a seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccination and booster(s) is a condition of employment. Cedarcrest complies with all state and federal regulations. Employees are required to complete an Employment Verification Form (I-9), and within three days show satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with a minimum of two years experience in clinical nursing. Experience with children with multiple disabilities and/or chronic health experience preferred.
