What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop support technician position at CEI Staffing?

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team.

Duties :

  • Provide desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
  • Set up and configure new computers, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Assist with network connectivity and troubleshooting TCP / IP related issues
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems
  • Utilize SCCM or other software deployment tools for software installations and updates
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
  • Provide support for office productivity applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Assist with server administration tasks on Windows Server platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers and other peripheral devices
  • Document technical procedures and create knowledge base articles

Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols (TCP / IP)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Experience with desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux)
  • Familiarity with SCCM or other software deployment tools
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information effectively
  • Knowledge of mobile devices (iOS, Android) and their configuration
  • Understanding of server administration tasks on Windows Server platforms
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems (Remedy)

Schedule :

Job Types : Contract, Full-time

Pay : $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule :

8 hour shift

Experience :

  • Desktop support : 2 years (Preferred)
  • Windows : 2 years (Preferred)
