Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grand Opening Coordinator to join our In-Store Events Marketing Team. This entry-level role will play a key part in supporting the planning and execution of grand opening events across the United States, helping to drive traffic, sales, and brand loyalty for a leading national sporting goods retailer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Activation: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of grand opening events, including logistics, advertising, and event programming.
- Creative & Marketing Support: Contribute to the development of creative materials, email campaigns, and vendor coordination for event support.
- Proofreading & Quality Control: Ensure accuracy in store signage and other marketing materials to maintain brand standards.
- Giveaway Preparation: Organize and prepare prizes for event giveaways.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with various internal teams (including Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, and Store Operations) and external partners to ensure seamless event execution.
Key Skills:
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Critical for managing multiple tasks and ensuring high-quality event execution.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and with vendors.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required; experience with other Office applications is beneficial.
- Event & Marketing Experience: Prior experience in event planning or marketing activation is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Event Experience: Hands-on experience in event planning or marketing activation is a significant plus.
Interview Process:
- Technical Screen: An initial assessment of your technical skills and relevant experience.
- Panel Interviews: You will participate in panel interviews with three members of the team to evaluate your fit for the role and organization.
