Job at a Glance:
The Joint Use Administrator manages joint use contracts and pole attachment agreements with various partners. This role involves negotiating agreements, ensuring compliance, and acting as a liaison between the company and its partners.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and negotiate joint use contracts and pole attachments.
- Coordinate and manage agreements, bonds, insurance, surveys, audits, and construction or maintenance of joint use facilities.
- Act as a liaison for permits, inspections, and quality assurance,rebuilds, attachment agreements, and NESC interpretation.
- Address issues, complaints, and safety violations related to joint use.
- Manage billing and payments, including pole rental billing.
- Conduct compliance surveys and audits, using the NJUNS system.
- Oversee Joint Use Design contractors and review cost calculations.
- Stay updated on industry changes and assist with policy development.
- Consult with management on joint use issues and negotiations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2 years of directly related experience.
Knowledge:
- Electric Distribution Construction and Design
- Cost Estimating
- NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) requirements
- Telecommunications and utility operations
Skills:
- Communication (verbal and written)
- Organization and time management
- Negotiation and customer service
- Computer skills, including Excel
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Utilities or telecommunications background.
