Responsibilities:
To provide plant engineering, reliability centered maintenance, project implementation, and technical subject matter expertise, supporting operations and maintenance in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Champion standard work processes relating to Improved Equipment Reliability
- Work closely in a team atmosphere with various functional roles in the routine and non-routine repair of instrumentation and electrical systems and components
- Perform root cause analysis of failed components
- Perform technical review of instrumented and electrical systems designs and modifications.
- Manage small projects related to plant reliability improvements
- Support Technical Implementation of Instrument and Electrical Projects, Conforming to Applicable Codes and Standards
- Economic Evaluation of repair and maintenance strategies at the site
- Stewardship and Technical Review of Safety Instrumented Systems
- Provide technical expertise to Operations and Maintenance personnel
Qualifications:
-BS in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- At least 5-7 years experience in a similar Engineering role.
- Strong desire to work in a leading edge industrial environment with a strong focus on reliability and efficiency.
- Knowledge of Process Instrumentation Including Process Monitoring Devices, Control Valves, Distributed Control Systems
- Knowledge of SIS system fundamentals
- Knowledge of Motor Control fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical testing fundamentals
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and their administration
- Knowledge of Maintenance Work Processes
- Knowledge of Industry Instrument, Electrical, and Process Safety Standards
- Strong safety champion who will lead in achieving zero incidents and injuries
- Experience in the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Self-motivated with ability to originate and adapt to new ideas
- Able to handle multiple activities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Team building and networking skills
- Ability to Multitask and Handle Multiple Simultaneous Assignments
- Ability to Work as Self Directed Individual or in a team based environment
