What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Associate position at Celularity Inc?
Overview
Celularity is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals for the daily management of materials used in the manufacturing of multiple cell and tissue therapy products. Leveraging Celularity’s new, state-of-the-art cGMP capable facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support manufacturing demand.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned functions related to inbound and outbound, including pallet breakdown, inspection of incoming materials, accurate receipt and accessioning into ERP system, and delivery to designated warehouse locations.
- Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method and selects appropriate shipping containers ensuring safe delivery.
- Understanding of hazardous shipment process and compliance.
- Process sales commercial order fulfillment.
- Handle all inbound and outbound shipments activities via UPS, FedEx, or designated courier.
- Perform cycle counts to final product inventory to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Distribute incoming mail/packages to appropriate departments.
- Maintain receiving, warehouse, and storage areas in an organized state and in compliance with company policy.
- Ensure all packaging, labeling, and data reporting activities are performed with attention to strict Celularity quality and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Perform labeling and packaging activities including but not limited to; generation of labels for final product and packaging components, inventory management of packaging and labeling components, finished product, and other items.
- Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of timely completion of all material request fulfillment and distribution. Maintain and deliver sufficient supply of packaging and labeling consumable to support manufacturing activities.
- Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, processing equipment, packaging and labeling components are maintained in good working order prior to the start of each batch.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications (Must have)
- High school degree. Associate degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
- 2 years relevant experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and ERP system.
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and main a strong attention to detail.
- Flexible scheduling required.
- Dynamic individual with the ability to communicate and engage others.
- Independent and self-starting.
- Eager and adaptable.
Working Conditions
- Position primarily operates for extended periods of time in warehouse and controlled manufacturing environments.
- Fast paced, start-up environment which may periodically require work beyond standard business hours.
- Must be able to lift and transport at least 50 pounds.
- Handling of potentially biohazardous material (human cells, tissues, etc.).
