The Corporate Energy Manager main responsibility is to optimize the Cement Operations fuels cost. This responsibility spans to primary, secondary and alternative fuels from its strategic planning to the yearly master plan implementation.
- Lead fuel selection process by providing guidance in technical specifications, target volumes, price ranges and supply duration.
- Define the best fuel option available and alternatives evaluation
- Monitor Fuel cost key performance indicators (KPIs) monitoring including the Deviations Root Cause Analysis and support to the cement plant with the resulting Action plans.
- Guide fuels supply management and intervene in supply chain events such as: Critical Inventory levels, Severe conflicts in deliveries, Fuel quality incidences, Contract implementation (i.e. Invoicing/ Penalty or price adjustments) or Obtain/modify permits/documentation.
- Manage natural gas supply business relationship being the primary point of contact administration for business related matters in coordinated basis with the Cement plant Director.
- Support CO2 roadmap follow-up.
- Collaborate with Market Intelligence to develop cost competitive advantages.
- Talent development and technical training in the area of expertise.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
- Five (5) experience in cement industry systems (Preferably Production department). Experience with Natural Gas management is a plus.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of applicable software
- Combustion training (desired)
- Experience in Multi-plant management
- Continually undergo training to enhance technical and managerial skills
- Capability to work extended hours as necessary
- Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary (very limited)
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and fingering to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
