The hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday 8am-6:30pm
The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
Centennial Peaks Hospital is a 104 bed behavioral health facility located in beautiful Louisville, CO. We are dedicated to providing a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to enhance the mental health, safety and well-being of our patients, their families, and the community at large by providing ethical, compassionate, medically and psychologically integrated inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for psychiatric and addiction disorders.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied population of patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field preferred. Must possess Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, RN
Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
Supervision Received: Intake Director
Pay Range: $25.50-46.50
Shift Differential: $1.00-2.25
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.50 - $46.50 per hour
