Salary/ Hourly Wage:                $17.91 - $19.75 per hour / DOE

Position Summary: Responsible for various personnel functions as well as overall administrative agency support.  Will provide direct support to the Human Resources Manager

 

Duties:

    1. Responsible for data entry, maintenance, projects and reports from Human Resources software as needed and requested.
    2. Ensure integrity of the Admin and HR database and tracking systems including, but not limited to, the collection and entry of employment required license/ registration/ certification information, driver’s license and vehicle insurance renewal dates.
    3. Coordinate and manage employee evaluations.
    4. Coordinate new employee paperwork and orientation. 
    5. Maintain personnel files.
    6. Assist in the coordination of FMLA, CFRA, PDL and other leave of absences.
    7. Assist in monitoring and maintenance of required agency standards i.e. safety, HIPAA, Wellness, etc.
    8. Serve on Wellness Team.
    9. Provide assistance in volunteer paperwork and orientations as needed.
    10. Provide assistance with benefit administration, processing enrollments and conducting benefit meetings as needed.
    11. Research and conduct HR/ Admin related training as required.
    12. Provide telephone, reception coverage and other support staff duties as assigned.
    13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements


Qualifications:

  1. 2-3 years of proven administrative experience.
  2. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
  3. Strong organizational skills.
  4. Word processing experience with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Human Resources Software.
  5. Understanding of personnel and compliance records management, preferred.
  6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  8. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints, if required.
  9. Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.
  10. Valid California driver’s license.
  11. Proof of auto insurance coverage.

  9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  10. Perform job duties in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  11. Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.
  12. Preparation of assigned reports, work records, statistical data, job performance evaluations, work plans, etc. in a timely manner.

 

Medical/ Fingerprint Requirements:  This position may require a medical screening and fingerprinting.
