POSITION SUMMARY:
The project manager/trainer is primarily responsible for instituting the STRIVE® curriculum to enrollees and members; to ensure that members who complete the STRIVE® career development training have acquired the necessary competencies in professional development, proper organizational behavior, leadership, basiccomputer literacy, resume preparation, interview techniques, team building, and goal setting to meet the standards of the current workforce and labor market needs of employers. Coordinate with employment specialists and the Clean Corpscase manager to assist with the placement of enrollees in the clean corps transitional employment program. The project manager/trainer is also responsible for program outcome oversight and quality control efforts to ensure compliance with the grant and program metrics. A key responsibility is to coordinate with the Bon Secours team and CFUF senior manager to ensure program success.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct soft skills training for classes of enrollees, with a focus on personal and professional development (120 hours of training).
· Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures (both virtually and in person).
· Prepare and maintain accurate and up to date files and case notes and attendance records in the CFUF database; document all communications with enrollees and members in database.
· Meet high standards of training requirements as set by grant, contract, and MOU stipulations.
· Provide support to enrollees and members in STRIVE/ Clean Corp and assist with barrier removal; communicate with ALL In case manager to make appropriate referrals to additional services, as needed.
· Attend meetings to discuss progress and partnership between CFUF and Clean Corps.
· Complete programmatic reports within the required time frame established by the funder.
· Ability to evaluate the progress of individuals within training programs and to make individual modifications related to instruction, if necessary.
· Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to members' rights.
· Work toward reaching completion rate, as specified by the grant metrics.
· Actively participate in CFUF’s ALL In Programs team meetings to increase program completion and retention rates among CFUF/Clean Corp enrollees/members.
· Participate in outreach and partner meetings.
· Monitor quality control to ensure that Clean Corps program services adhere to defined metrics and requirements for the program and funder.
· Work in close partnership with Bon Secours to ensure open lines of communication.
· Ensure that all data is accurate for both CFUF and the Clean Corps program within Apricot.
· Conduct site visit to Clean Corps site as needed.
· Participate in supervision meetings.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Minimum of three years of practical working experience in training and/or teaching environment.
· Proven experience working directly with diverse populations such as returning citizens, at-risk young adults, individuals suffering from the disease of addiction, people experiencing homelessness andhousing instability, public assistance recipients, and the working poor.
· Knowledge of transitional employment best practices
· Knowledge of the framework around cognitive behavioral theory, social work, and/or human services concepts.
· Must be technologically proficient and able to provide training in both virtual and in-person environments (ability to use Zoom is a MUST).
· High ethical standards and values.
· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Must be a self-starter with the desire and ability to initiate and execute without step-by-step guidance from supervisor.
· Must be resilient and tenacious with a high level of personal integrity.
