Position Summary
The Electrical Project Manager will lead the project management for commercial electrical projects. Projects are centered around electrical infrastructure supporting customer’s requirements. Responsibilities include client meetings, project planning, equipment selection and logistics, on-site management, and project closeouts while working under the supervision of the Senior VP.
Responsibilities:
- Refine the scope of work and detail subcontracts

Manage multiple projects in various stages of activities

Prepare and monitor project budgets, scope, and schedule
- Develop project schedule and monitor/update as the project progresses

Provide specific expertise and critical thinking for problem-solving

Provide technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals

Prepare customer proposals and project change orders

Understand electrical construction methods and materials and be capable of interacting with general contractors and contractors in regard to constructability, equipment placement, methods, and other technical areas as required by the project

Prepare project take-offs on paper drawings and inputting/tracking data on Word

Order items (e.g. light fixtures, switch gear, and other project materials) for pricing and submittals

Build and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors

Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical project management (experienced with managing varying projects valued at $3-5 million)

Must be a licensed electrician

Understanding of commercial electrical systems

Ability to read, and understand the scope of work and engineering design drawings

Leadership and organization skills

Winning mentality and team player

Knowledge of electrical safety, policies, and procedures, with field experience a plus.

Strong communication skills in customer-facing settings

Strong experience with Microsoft Office

Requires the ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Education and Experience:

5 years of wireless telecom experience

Data room experience preferred (not required)

College degree preferred
Supervisory Responsibility:
No supervisory duties.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an outdoor and indoor work environment and in extreme weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This role routinely travels to customer sites as needed.
Position Type:
This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
