About Lockwood of Lyon
Lockwood of Lyon is a full-service independent senior living community consisting of 130 affordable tax credit and market-rate apartment homes. Lockwood of Lyon offers restaurant-style dining, housekeeping and laundry services. Our amenities include a barber/beauty salon, theater room, activity programming, and scheduled transportation services. Home health and physical therapy services are also offered through third-party partners.
Skills and knowledge necessary for satisfactory performance include but are not limited to:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, employees and vendors.
- 1-3 years of kitchen management experience, senior living experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of employees.
- Ability to stand and maneuver on a title floor for 8-12 hours per shift.
Job Duties:
- Ensure that all food preparation and assembling is done in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines, and the Lockwood Dining Manual.
- Assist in annual budgeting process.
- Ensure that all financial reporting, records, and paperwork are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain a customer centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members and fellow community associates.
- Maintain and properly clean the work area and equipment used in the kitchen for food preparation.
- Complete preparation records and store food items property, complete food temperature checks.
- Assist in the hiring, development, discipline and employment termination of all dining personnel.
- Verify and approve timesheets and payroll, prepare work schedules.
- Maintaining clear lines of communication.
- All other duties as assigned.
