What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Support Officer position at Centerra-SRS?
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Performs all functions of the systematic approach to training, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Analyzes duties and accountabilities of new Protective Force positions to identify knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) required for job performance. Performs annual review of existing job analyses to ensure currency; develops task-to-training matrixes.
- Develops and evaluates training materials and performance tools, including the use of traditional classroom delivery systems and multimedia. Provides support to subject matter experts in designing and revising training materials.
- Electronically reviews training materials ensuring prompt response to developer; resolves training materials issues with subject matter expert.
- Develops analytic data collection processes to determine Protective Force position training needs. Looks at both depth and breadth of knowledge needed to successfully complete job duties. Conducts training evaluations and post-training evaluations for use in the needs assessment process.
- Develops, conducts or coordinates instructional training for the following classes: Basic Instructor Training and Instructor Continuing Training.
- Provides support in the accreditation/certification processes for Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and Training Approval Program (TAP) documentation processes and on-site visits.
- Develops Annual Training Plan. Collects, organizes, and evaluates training plan data and its conformance to regulatory requirements.
- Completes assigned special projects (i.e., reviews, revises procedures; develops process flows for various processes; develops and maintains plans and schedules; prepares special presentations).
- Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in procedure 1-3100 and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Communication, Business, or other disciplines requiring a mastery of written and verbal skills OR equivalent combination of Associates Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Communication, Business, or other disciplines requiring a mastery of written and verbal skills and three years directly related experience in Instructional Systems Development or Systems Approach to Training OR equivalent combination of military and/or law enforcement experience involving training.
- Three years of experience in Instructional Systems Development OR curriculum development and instructional technology OR three years of practical experience developing training in the military, law enforcement, or security environments.
- Must successfully complete Basic Instructor Training.
- Equivalency documentation or completion of Curriculum Development and Job Analysis Courses required.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOE “L” security clearance.
- Basic computer skills to include use of databases and MS Office.
INTERVIEW PROCESS AND LENGTH:
Interview process will consist of a Panel Interview and last approximately 45 minutes.
