Job Description:
The Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) Monitor Technician is a member of the patient care team who functions under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostics Supervisor. The responsibilities of the EMU Monitor Technician include video monitoring patients and reporting to the medical staff in charge of the patients. Monitor techs are also expected to document events and activity in the EEG study.
Successful EMU Monitor Technicians should have excellent analytical and technical skills, detail-oriented, as well as adaptability to change based on evidence-based practice. Ultimately, top performers should have a strong working knowledge of medical equipment and software, as well as good communication skills when interacting with patients and care staff.

Qualifications/Education/Licensure:
High school diploma or GED. Excellent technical skills for hospital equipment and medical software.
