Contributes to a safe and efficient admission, transfer, and/or discharge process
Uses resources (e.g., time, people, supplies, etc.) cost effectively

Identifies personal contributions to unit-based cascading goals

Qualifications
Job Description: Under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse (nurse), the Health Unit Coordinator I (HUC) performs a variety of secretarial/clerical duties. The HUC adheres to a culture reflective of Centra's best practices for quality and service, creates and maintains a safe patient environment, and contributes to a healthy work environment. May handle medication that is delivered by the Pharmacy either directly or via the pneumatic tube system and to transport the medication to an appropriate storage area or to another employee who is qualified to administer medication.
Required Education: Effective September 1, 2011, a High School Diploma / GED is required. Anyone hired prior to September 1, 2011 is grandfathered in
