What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant | PTA position at CentraCare?
80 hours every 2 weeks | Mostly Monday-Friday, occasional weekends | Day shift.
Under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist, performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients. Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and complex procedures.
EDUCATION:
- Associate Degree from accredited physical therapy assistant curriculum and successful completion of clinical field work
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Certification as a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant by the NBPTA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS certified
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient oral and written communication
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work effectively with patients and /or patient families, personnel, medical staff and general public
