What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTR Analyst position at Central Bancompany?
Daily monitoring of cash transactions through CTR Manager, Bankers Toolbox BAM and CBC system reports which indicate that the filing of Currency Transaction Reports is warranted, check-backs to assure accuracy, preparation of documentation for exemption reviews and act as a liaison with affiliate bank personnel.
Pull daily TMS reports for assigned banks for review and determination of the requirement to file a Currency Transaction Report (CTR.) Receive and review CTRs and Additional Information Forms completed by affiliate banks, compare to TMS and request missing internal CTRs.
Document and comment electronically to meet documentation standards.
Enter required documentation on CTR Manager Software for assigned banks. Submit for review by peer BSA Service Representative, not assigned to those banks, before filing.
Pull CTR exception data and research missing information through online software, the internet or in communication with the affiliate bank BSA Officer.
Review structuring or other applicable reports from Bankers Toolbox (BAM) to validate or general unusual transaction summary.
Analyze and refer potential structuring and/or unusual activity to the SAR BSA Specialists for final disposition upon review of TMS reports or BAM.
Learn Bankers Toolbox (BAM) basics and pull reports as needed for CTRs and exemption documentation.
Review CTRs for non-designated banks for validation prior to filing.
Communicate with affiliate bank BSA officer or tellers regarding missing information or documentation.
Prepare exemption documentation per CBC standards prior to review and approval by the BSA Officer or supervisor and the affiliate bank BSA Officer. Scan to affiliate bank for review as needed.
Attend annual training for all staff and complete all compliance and other testing under CBC guidelines.
Enter documentation into the BAM system for validation before the CTR process can be completed.
Enter and analyze data integrity tests, as appropriate.
Monitor Foreign Currency Report to determine if a CTR or MIEL is needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous banking experience, at least 2 years Teller experience required
Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred, but not required
Strong analytical, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Excel
Strong writing ability
Ability to complete required work in a fast paced environment to meet filing deadlines
