Description

Central Bethany, an established and growing real estate development and property management company just north of the Beaverton/Hillsboro area, seeks a Corporate Events Coordinator to join the Corporate/ Admin team! The Corporate Events Coordinator will be responsible for the management of all corporate, community, and portfolio-wide events and will plan, execute, staff, and manage all aspects of events for the company. To do so will require collaboration with members of several different internal teams to align company messages and reach event goals across different locations, including the Beaverton/Bethany area, Gresham, and eventually Washougal, WA. Someone with a strong administrative background and an interest in developing a broader skillset in events management would excel in this role.

Schedule: This is a hybrid role and will require days in the office and onsite at all events.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct short- and long-term planning and management for all internal and external events, including but not limited to: HR events, corporate events, large community events, etc.
  • Develop and recommend budget, marketing plans, and objectives for events
  • Manage volunteers and participate at each event to ensure seamless success.
  • Flexibility given event dates and times vary and may take place during the week, evenings, and occasionally on weekends.
  • Set, maintain and/or exceed event goals with constant effort to improve and innovate
  • Assemble creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsource to qualified vendors to enhance eventsÂ’ success
  • Source and negotiate favorable terms/prices with vendors/suppliers and build long-term, value-based vendor/customer/business relationships
  • Train, supervise, and work with event staff (internal and external) to solicit, book, and execute events from start to finish according to budget, target audience, and objectives
  • Be dependable, work diligently, and have a positive attitude

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in event/catering management preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized and able to multitask efficiently
  • Proficient computer skills and thorough experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Service-oriented style and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Must be able to work independently with a desire to learn and grow
