What are the responsibilities and job description for the APRN 1099 PART TIME-PENSACOLA position at Central Florida Inpatient Medicine?
JOB SUMMARY
PHA is looking for a 1099 APRN, to provide psychiatric support to include, but are not limited to, commuting to multiple skilled nursing facilities on assigned days, communicating with patients, facility staff members, accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education and follow-up care to patients. Please Note: The selected provider would be on a 1099 contract and travel to Pensacola, 1-2x a week. The weekly hours would range between 15-20 hours a week.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Examine patients and record history
- Adhere to proper charting protocols
- Discuss with Physician and other health care professionals to prepare comprehensive plan
- Order or execute tests or images as needed
- Submit health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review by Physician
- Analyze results of tests, diagnose and report to patient
- Administer or prescribe treatment and medications
- Promote health by advising patient on diet, hygiene and prevention of disease
- Inoculate and vaccinate as required
- Refer to specialist as required for patient's well-being
- Perform minor surgery
- Report deaths and contagious diseases to governmental authorities
- Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have and maintain current State of Florida license in good standing
- Current National Board Certification
- Current DEA
- Post Acute experience
- 1 year Psychiatric experience preferred ( if not, will train)

- Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills
- Show initiative, creativity and problem-solving ability
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to provide quality healthcare
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience using an electronic medical records system
- Bilingual a plus, but not required (English/Spanish)

Reports to the Supervisory Psychiatric Physician / Executive Director
