Please be advised that as a condition of employment, Central States is requiring applicants to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and up to date in their vaccination, including receiving booster shots, before they start employment with Central States. An individual will be considered “fully vaccinated” two (2) weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two (2) weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will supervise Medical Insurance Claims Adjusters.  Responsibilities include maintaining a workflow that ensures prompt and efficient handling of medical claims within a 30-day deadline, assistance with problem claims and staff questions, training of staff, annual performance reviews and personnel issues.  The individual will also process medical claims over a certain significant dollar threshold.  The successful candidate will work with our Blue Cross Network Reps in resolving questions, concerns or problems with medical claims.  He or she will also work closely with other supervisors and managers to coordinate efforts within the Medical Claims Processing area. 

Qualifications

The candidate must be organized, creative and able to handle a variety of duties.  The candidate must also be self-motivated and have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.  The preferred candidate will have medical claims processing experience and a thorough knowledge of health insurance benefits.  Supervisory experience is preferred and a Bachelor's Degree is required.  Technical aptitude including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook and Teams is required.
