Maintenance Apprentice

Job Title: Maintenance Apprentice   Position Overview: The Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for assisting with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed • Assist and contribute to the Plant and Maintenance Teams • Perform emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance on all production and building   equipment • Daily problem solving • Repair of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls related issues      associated with manufacturing/facility operations • Complete all paperwork as required • Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements: • High school graduate or equivalent required • Intermediate mechanical aptitude • Good written and verbal communication skills • Overtime may be required   Preferred Qualifications: • 0-3 years’ experience in maintaining industrial equipment. (Robotics, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) • 0-3 years’ experience in welding or fabrication • Ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and machine specifications • Intermediate PC knowledge • Demonstrated knowledge of codes and regulations as they apply to an industrial maintenance role (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, etc.)   Employees must be fully vaccinated for coronavirus by October 29, 2021.  Candidates for employment must present proof of at least the first shot (of a two-shot regiment) as a condition of an employment offer.  Medical or religious accommodations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with all applicable laws.
