Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Akamai Configuration and Management:
- Configure and manage Akamai services, including Content Delivery Network (CDN), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DNS.
- Optimize Akamai settings for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement caching strategies and rules to improve website performance and reduce server load.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor Akamai services for performance and availability using Akamai Control Center and other monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Akamai configurations and performance.
- Analyze logs and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Must have an ecommerce Development background and understanding of micro services.
- Security and Compliance:
- Configure and manage Akamai's security features, including WAF, bot management, and DDoS protection.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for web security and data protection.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security policies.
