The Professional Service Project Manager’s primary focus will be executing the Project and Resource Management processes to ensure internal resources are deployed correctly to support the strategic goals for Centri Business Consulting, LLC (“the Firm”). This person will be responsible for driving the financial metrics of the Firm while ensuring quality of service.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client delivery teams to manage the project and resource management processes including scoping, resource allocation, and task sequencing to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Reviewing project metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress to identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiencies in engagement delivery.
- Being forward looking to identify and address scheduling conflicts or gaps within the process to allow for the proper utilization and team leverage of resources to have proper margin on engagements.
- Monitor metrics for leadership reporting on actual versus projected utilization, understand when pivots need to be made or issues resolved to reduce downtime while engaging team members in thoughtful work for career progression.
- Ensures all project plans are up to date and appropriately reflected in the Firms project management tool ensuring necessary updates are implemented accurately and timely.
- Collaboratively working with operation leaders to understand skill strengths and growth opportunities for a well-balanced team; work with Human Capital to highlight areas of inconsistent performance that could be detrimental to the team.
- Leading all calls pertaining to resource management, working to bring collaboration across teams and segments, helping drive successful status updates for projects.
- Reporting on all of operations metrics, presenting the story for easy understanding, creation of presentations for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Training and education of team members on the resource management process, ability to identify and enhance process and reporting.
- Support Firm initiatives and development opportunities.
- Working to build in-person relationships and promote collaboration in a hybrid environment.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in resource and/or project management, with a strong preference for client service experience in a professional services organization.
- An understanding of the basic drivers and key KPI’s of a professional services firm – particularly around production and utilization.
- Required to obtain RMO or PMO Certification within first 6-months of employment.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools on Widows platform: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds at times.
- Travel will be 5% of the time when necessary.
