Position Summary
Pre-Employment Specialists are charged with 1) performing background checks and 2) facilitating the referral process for Behavior Technicians. The Pre-Employment Specialist will provide administrative support for a wide variety of functions related to our team member’s employment. The ideal candidate will be able to strengthen the Centria brand in every conversation, email, and interaction.
Success Measures
Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, and meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics such as timeliness of background check completion, uploading all background check documentation into CareConnect in a timely matter, and completion of other projects or duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Background Check Support
- Enter information into various background check agencies.
- Adjudicate all background check results.
- Download the background check results and upload them to the appropriate platform.
- Send adverse action letters as appropriate.
- Manage background check specific sections of the shared Kick Off Call Tracker.
- Communicate with Recruiting and Onboarding Departments as needed.
- Ensure background checks email is kept up with daily.
- Complete Reference Checks as needed.
- Team Member Referral Program Management
- Work with Payroll to determine if the referred team member has worked the required time period to qualify.
- Track payments made to all referring parties.
- Other Projects, As Assigned
- Participate in implementing new initiatives and processes as directed by your direct leader.
- Assist with ad hoc reports as needed.
Rate
$18 - $20 hour
Qualifications
Education/Licenses
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Work Experience
Previous experience working in a high-volume recruiting department, preferred.
Equipment and Technology Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Proficiency in G Suite
- Greenhouse ATS, preferred

Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in PC software, especially spreadsheet programs;

- Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes;

- Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and produce work that consistently meets or exceeds team benchmarks;
- Flexible attitude in accepting unique and non-standard requests from time to time.
Working Conditions
- Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Additional time or occasional shifts in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
