Job Summary:
The CDA Program Assistant supports the Child Development Associate (CDA) Training Program Coordinator with the implementation of a successful and high-quality CDA program that is deeply rooted in CentroNía Institute’s vision and philosophy.
Essential responsibilities:
- Provide written and verbal program information and promotional materials to community partners, including CCR&R and Child Development Centers, to extend program reach to target populations.
- Support waitlist outreach and help respond to CDA candidate inquiries
- Schedule Admissions Interviews between candidates and program leadership.
- Help with the distribution of program coursebooks and supplemental materials.
- Assist the CDA Program Coordinator with documentation of activities and inputting relevant candidate demographic data into Quickbase and Excel tracking tools.
- Support program leadership and faculty with scheduling logistics and communications related to classes and monthly meetings.
- Help with logistics related to the annual graduation celebration for CDA candidates.
- Support the CDA Program Coordinator in arranging field placements for participants needing to fulfill the 480-practicum requirement with the Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School Age programs.
- Input tracking data into Quickbase and Excel tracking tools (e.g., employment details, attendance, course progress, attainment of credentials, etc.)
- Other duties assigned by the CDA Program Coordinator
