Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide.
We are currently seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our Legal Office located in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
The Litigation Paralegal will provide direct oversight of pro se inmate litigation, support the Associate General Counsel over professional liability claims on represented inmate litigation, and oversee general coordination of defense activities with outside defense counsel and insurance adjusters. Responsibilities also include maintaining the department’s document management database for assigned cases and programs and acting as liaison on assigned MHM and Centurion client programs. This includes working with operators to answer inquiries, routing client contracts and amendments, providing information on pending matters, drafting open records act requests, reviewing requests for proposals, and performing other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• Four (4) year college degree from an accredited college or university.
• Paralegal certificate (Required)
• At least 5 years prior experience as a litigation paralegal in medical malpractice or insurance defense preferred.
