What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Century Mold Co?
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with day to day approved purchase orders and requisitions. File all requisitions and purchase orders after the issuance of the order.
- Follow up on orders to ensure that materials are delivered on the promised date.
- Assist in updating cost savings logs.
- Review and issue all debit memos as required.
- Maintain purchasing records such as quote logs, corrective action requests, credit card purchase logs and ISO/TS documentation, etc.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to reconcile cost discrepancies and system receipts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn new software as needed.
