Information about the Company : Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Immediately hiring for Machine Packers for our manufacturing plant in Williamsburg, PA.
Machine Packer Pay / Schedule :
- $16.01 / hr shift premium $0.35 / hr.
- Day shift 7am 7pm / Night shift 7pm 7am : 2 days & 2 nights required :
- Mandatory Overtime is required for 1-2 days during this busy season
- Opportunity to be promoted to a Machine Adjuster position if adequate mechanical skills are demonstrated after 90 days with the possibility to earn up to $21.
65 / hr if successful progress is being made based on the requirements for the position.
Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties :
- Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
- Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
- Checks current production orders / schedules to determine daily production requirements.
- May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during / end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned / required.
Machine Packer Requirements / Qualifications :
- The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Quality inspection skills and ability to measure / read a ruler.
- Basic math, verbal / written communication, computer skills
Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment : -
- Maintain a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
- Mental alertness; Ability to step up / reach overhead / manually feed paper into machine.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
- Exposure to arm / wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
