What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at CEO Inc.?
The Controls Engineer will design and develop tools, software, and processes to support existing products and new product traceability development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Rockwell FactoryTalk Suite; HMI and PLC programming
- Data collection and analysis
- Troubleshoot and investigate manufacturing and production issues and provide documentation
- Partner with vendors to fix issues and/or make improvements to their software
- Create charts, graphs and HMI layouts utilizing SQL and PowerBI
- Provide proper documentation in programs and work instructions
- Act as a technical resource to other company manufacturing plants
- Ensure the manufacturing process complies with quality, capability, cost and time goals
- Research and keep up to date on new data collection and traceability technologies for the manufacturing process
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in Engineering or Technical field
- Minimum of 2 years manufacturing work experience in an automated plant
- Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk Software Suite (Studio 5000, Administration Console, Transaction Manager, View Studio, FT Directory, NGT2)
- SQL database language
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics, flow charts and Allen Bradley PLC code
- PowerBI experience preferred
