What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Nurse Practitioner position at Cerner Corporation?
As a PRN Nurse Practitioner for Cerner, you will conduct exams and develop plans within the scope of professional license to evaluate and treat injuries, acute illnesses and chronic conditions, educate and counsel members about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications and perform diagnostic tests and screening evaluations. You will also prescribe and administer medications and medical devices and perform minor surgical interventions. Lastly, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications-
At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year direct patient care work experience

At least 7 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
- Master's degree in Nursing, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Multiple Issuers
- Nurse Practitioner - State Board
- Doctorate's degree in Nursing Practice, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
