Now, CGC is seeking to hire a top manga expert to lead its expansion into this vibrant and growing collectible category.

This is an incredible opportunity for a top manga expert to help establish authentication and grading services in one of the hottest collectibles categories. You will work cross-functionally to develop grading standards and processes, holders, content and more to support the launch and ongoing operations of this game-changing grading service.
This position will be based at CCG’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, but will likely include domestic and international travel to trade shows and other CCG offices.

Responsibilities:
- Identification of genuine, counterfeit, altered and/or restored manga of various years (Golden Age, Silver Age, Modern) and genres (Shonen, Horror, Shojo, Seinen, etc.)
- Develop authentication and grading standards and processes in collaboration with senior leadership
- Partner with the company’s internal and external resources to develop holder solutions for manga
- Identify, hire and train additional manga experts
- Maintain the company’s database of manga collectibles and ensure accurate and consistent descriptions for manga collectibles
- Enter all relevant data into the company’s computer systems
- Collaborate with the company’s marketing team to produce content and inform its marketing strategy for manga
What will help you succeed:
- Experience in the comic book grading industry
- Knowledge of a wide variety of manga
- Knowledge of manga variants, including variant covers, multi-volume publications, limited releases and more
- Ability to speak and read Japanese
- The highest level of integrity
- A strong desire to grow as well as train and lead other team members
- A willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
