The Safety Administrator will assist the Safety Director with duties related to the management and implementation of safety programs. Providing administrative support, research, and analytical support on a variety of safety related issues. They will assist the Safety Director to develop, evaluate, and revise company safety and health programs, policies, procedures, and communications. They will work with employees and the safety committee to implement safety programs and procedures through various methods of communication and training (written, verbal, and presentations). Bilingual Spanish is a MUST!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional administrative support to the Safety department.
  • Prepares month end reports for review; participates in the implementation of approved safety recommendations, as required.
  • Compile safety reports, track near misses, distribute weekly safety topics, trend analysis.
  • Assists with updating and distribution of safety data sheets (SDS’s) prepare safety presentation material, correct, or report on safety report data discrepancies.
  • Compile and complete safety orientation manuals.
  • May be required to participate in other meetings as safety representative on administrative matters.
  • New employee hire administration: Get safety equipment and set up safety file for new employees.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations.
  • Distribution and ordering of New Hire PPE: Safety Vests, Foreman Vests, Hard Hats.
  • Tracking and monitoring of new hire safety equipment distributed to employees.
  • Review, code, invoices and related documentation, log weekly safety reports received from the Safety Coordinators and provide monthly reports to Director of Safety and Senior Executive team as needed.
  • Collaborate with management on training and compliance issues.
  • Lead training as required
  • Schedule training sessions and provide reports on employee training status.
  • File all paperwork, for training and record keeping ensuring compliance.
  • Assists with updating IIPP and jobsite binders to ensure updated information is distributed to employees.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects at the request of the Safety Director, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, creating brochures.
  • Designs general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  • Assist the manager in the coordination and administration of the company safety programs.
  • Coordinate post-accident drug and/or alcohol tests for employees.
  • Assist with coordinating light duty as required and track and coordinate all return to duty paperwork.
  • Other record keeping responsibilities as assigned.
  • Coordinate events as required.
  • Assist other members of Safety team as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
