CTE is looking for the ideal Podiatrist who will help diagnose and treat minor and serious injuries or illnesses relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Provide full spectrum podiatric medical & surgical care for enrollees
• Directed podiatry services program to increase available appointments
• Plan, administer and record progress of prescribed coursed of the foot/ankle and related pathologies
• Evaluate and treat patients each year to increase clinical utilization
• Lead limb salvage procedure on complex foot infections
• Instruct staff and/or provide training to medical staff in the delivery of podiatric care and acute consultation for foot/ankle conditions
• Lead clinical trainings for family medical residents for swift diagnosis and a decreased wait time
• Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower leg problems through physical exams, x rays, medical laboratory tests, and other methods
• Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments, such as prescribing special shoe inserts (orthotics) to improve a patient's mobility
• Perform foot and ankle surgeries, such as removing bone spurs, fracture repairs, and correcting other foot and ankle deformities
• Advise and instruct patients on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques
• Prescribe medications
• Coordinate patient care with other physicians

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)?
• Board Certified in Podiatry
• Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
• Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both with children and the elderly
• Ability to have empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
• Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
