CFO Hub is looking for a Full-time Controller for a client, this position is not with CFO Hub.
A leader in the food distribution industry is looking for a Controller to join their team! The Controller is personally responsible for technical and administrative management of Billing, General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role also serves as an internal consultant for managers within the organization, working with managers to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform daily functions of billing, collections and cash applications.
- Prepare journal entries and perform monthly accounting functions, including balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Monitoring and improving internal and process controls.
- Prepare financial documents, financials, and business reports.
- Produce and prepare the budget and forecast by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and cost-cutting recommendations.
- Develop recommendations to optimize the company’s accounting system.
- Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
- Set and track financial KPIs.
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required; or a combination of education and equivalent experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in accounting and financial analysis.
- Experience with ecommerce and distribution industry
- Experience with inventory accounting.
Preferred:
Distribution industry experience is highly desirable.
Experience with process improvement teams.
