GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, General Ledger, month-end closing and payroll.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter, self-managed, and capable of handling multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment and has a strong acumen of accounting practices, financial controls, ERP systems and reporting.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual reports.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget and perform quarterly re-forecasts.
- Be proficient in identifying problems and presenting scalable solutions to resolve them.
- The ability to integrate acquisitions.
- Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
- Detail-oriented with excellent planning, analysis, and execution abilities
- Willingness to learn and to be flexible with changing priorities and varying management needs.
- Experience in accounting and finance in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work to deadlines with minimal direct supervision. Must be a proactive and an independent worker.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, reasoning, and ability to deal with complexity.
- Experience in private equity a strong plus.
- Travel less than 10% may be required.
