CGI Federal has a need for a Senior Cloud Architect for a federal IT program implementation. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting the US Federal government.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Experience with:
- Designing cloud-based solutions on a major cloud/virtual provider.
- Developing in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
- Administering at least one major operating system (e.g., Windows, RedHat, Centos, etc.) including patching and updating.
- Building architecture diagrams, sizing, and cost estimation of cloud/virtual systems.
- Using at least one monitoring tool (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Elastic, etc.).
- Automating the deployment of cloud resources on at least one major cloud/virtualization platform.
- Networking (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
- Network and application security (e.g., encryption, SSL, auditing, etc.).
- Developing system documentation for accreditation (e.g., ATO).
- Performing root cause analysis in complex and distributed environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required:
• 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Top Secret or Secret Clearance
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management.
• Possess the necessary people skills to identify requirements and deliver results.
Desired:
• Certification from a major cloud or virtualization provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare).
• Prior work experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is preferred.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional with at least 2 years AWS experience.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or equivalent.
