As a Senior AI Governance Specialist at CGI Federal, your role will include staying current on AI regulations and compliance requirements, developing and implementing comprehensive AI governance frameworks, and conducting risk assessments to identify potential ethical and legal risks. Your contributions will ensure responsible and ethical AI use, positioning CGI Federal as a leader in AI governance and fostering innovation while mitigating risks.
**Selected candidates must reside within two (2) hours of Woodlawn, MD. Selected candidates must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week**

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with the customer to develop AI framework, governance and policy.
- Develop associated standards and guide the customer on AI governance.
- Present and communicate the intent of AI government policies and Executive Orders.
- Interpret any new government legislations on AI.
- Support refinement and maintenance of AI Governance Framework process and procedure documentation
- Translate risk and governance concepts and issues into language understandable by cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases, considering factors such as feasibility, potential benefits, and ethical considerations.
- Work with leadership at all levels and present relevant information.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 Year (s) of Experience
- Training and/or Certification in AI ethics or related fields.
- Proven experience in organizational process development, governance, compliance, or related roles.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning, and their societal implications.
- Knowledge of responsible AI principles, fairness metrics, and bias detection techniques.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical AI frameworks.
- Current knowledge of global AI governance trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Broad technical knowledge and depth on AI / ML / Data Science to liaise with technical teams to execute on responsibilities listed above effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify potential risks and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to convey complex ethical and technical concepts to various partners.
- Ability to lead initiatives, influence change and drive consensus at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
