Position Summary
Reporting to a Senior Associate, Associate or Vice President, the Designer will be responsible for the creation and completion of drawings needed for bid, permit, and final construction documents under direction from manager.
What you will do
GENERAL
- Performs basic discipline assignments under close supervision.
- Undertakes a variety of assignments.
- Serves as a team member on a small project or a selected segment of a large project.
- Assists team leader in preparing products, reports, graphics, drawings, and/or presentations.
- Provides support to the project team in all phases of the facility development and implementation process.
- Conducts project analysis and research under the supervision of the team leader.
- Produces accurate work as part of the coordination project team.
- Develops presentation materials and graphics, with supervision, for client meetings, deliverables, and marketing efforts.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
DESIGN:
- Provides support to project team in all phases, from planning and design through the completion of construction administration.
- Applies basic standard architectural techniques.
- Performs basic architectural assignments under close supervision.
- Converts redline drawings and hand sketches to finished Revit models and AutoCAD drawings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Required
- 1-3 years of architectural design experience. Required
- Competency in various computer software programs such as Revit, Bluebeam
- Competency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus
- Competency with 3D modeling programs, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign a plus.
- Produces accurate work as part of the coordination project team.
- Understands construction time management and utilizes project management tools.
- Keeps abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
- Requires a detail-oriented self-starter, who takes initiative, able to prioritize, and multi-task in a busy environment.
- Works under close supervision and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships at every level among the organization and with external customers, as well as lead and positively influence others.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Required
Compensation
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $63,000 - $89,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer. We also offer a generous total compensation and benefits package.
