What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Account Representative position at CGR Credit Union?
The Collections Account Representative is primarily responsible for preserving the Credit Union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provides professional, timely, and accurate service to all members.
- Contacts delinquent accounts/overdrawn accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current
- Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful
- Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity
- Process GAP, Credit Life, and Credit Disability Claims
- Insurance Servicing, Credit Bureau Disputes, Outstanding Titles and Deeds
- Testifies at legal proceeding as required
- Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans; maximize recoveries
Experience:
One to three years of similar or related experience preferred
Education:
A high school education or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
