What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Coordinator position at CGT?

Roles and Responsibilities Expectation is that CC2 is extremely knowledgeable in regards to all FA tool sets and construction means and methods for tool install.

  • Must be familiar with utilities infrastructure in an industrial environment
  • Must be knowledgeable with tool start up and facilities turn on processes and procedures
  • Must be knowledgeable with coordinating construction scope and schedule with tool vendors
  • Must have general understanding of tool install sequencing using the latest construction industry standards (pull planning, LPS and other new systems) Must have superior communication and interpersonal skills to interface with all parties involved in the tool install process.
  • Must have general understanding of different trade work demarcations, means and methods
  • Must be very knowledgeable in tool sequencing for specific FA as well as knowledgeable in other FAs
  • Must be able to work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Attend Functional Area Team (FAT) meetings or similar as directed by the CC3 or client PM. ? Attend team meetings as defined by client.
  • Lead, coordinate, and setup project related meetings. Attend and actively participate in design review meetings providing input and feedback to AE regarding construction sequencing and coordination that maximizes construction trade productivity and reduces cost and schedule for client Work with logistics coordinator to choreograph trade laydown spaces and work space changes
  • Develop tool level micro schedules, pull plans and weekly work plans that can be used throughout the VF for improved execution Point of contact between tool owners and trades
  • Manage and execute paperwork and construction requirements for construction milestones
  • Manage completion of all punch list items as a result of SL1/SL2 signoff process
  • Coordinate utility startup/turnoff
  • Walk utility lines/systems as part of install or ready to demo process to insure accuracy
  • Facilitates and actively participates in RFI/ROD process to minimize time between questions and quality solutions.
  • Elevate any constraints or issues that may affect safety, schedule, scope, quality and/or cost.
  • Coordinate work among all trades, vendors, and stakeholders supporting construction (BB, PSSS, Flex, AMHS, TI, Rigging/Move-in, Demo, FSE, T&B, QAR testing, Fire protection, etc.).
  • Schedule and facilitate tool install kickoff meeting. Include involved trades, client PM and Tool owners.
  • Prepare and submit kick-off form.
  • Submit to project document control a completed and fully signed Tool Install Kickoff form for each tool.
  • Understand all safety requirements, processes, and initiatives and assist with driving these to IFE with all stakeholders Champion the DBS process and lead pre-construction walks for mitigation closing the process by submitting the DBS walk form to Document Control. Champion the protocol audit process for SL2 closure ensuring all punch list items are closed and all temporary trade materials are cleaned up and removed (tape and Unistrut in local area)
  • Attend and participate in Safety Lessons Learned/Fact Findings. ? Micromanage hand offs from trade to trade, System Owner to Tool Owner, one FA to another FA where necessary to ensure construction success
  • Maintain adequate time in the field to ensure team success. 60% of time in field
  • Proactively find and resolve issues. Take ownership of problems and drive to resolution.
  • Coordinate tool dock requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Attend dock coordination meeting as needed
  • Move in path identification and review with IEs
  • Lead move path walk with tool owner, IE, Rigging contractor & supplier
  • Prepare pedestal and tool move in sheet o Review and prepare for any tool dock heating requirements
  • Crating requirements Maintain a professional customer service oriented attitude in all situations Promote and maintain team atmosphere and attitude between ACs, IEs, PMs, TOs, SOs, Trades etc.…
  • Maintain an enabling mindset while positively addressing changes to enable client’s business.
  • May need to perform peripheral activities not specifically included in CC’s roles and responsibilities to ensure success.
  • Resolves BB/TI coordination issues
  • Manage and issue eWCS/eRequest for factory tool vendors/move in/move out efforts where necessary
